child-serving organizations reduce the risk of sexual abuse and create 

safer environments for children in 

their care.

Are you a victim of abuse, harassment, or discrimination in a sport environment? Have you witnessed such an incident?  The Abuse-Free Sport Helpline is a free, anonymous, confidential and independent service. 

Safe Sport Training gives you the knowledge and skills to create those environments by recognizing, addressing, and preventing maltreatment in 

sports.

These free modules will help you recognize 

the signs and take action in preventing and addressing gender-based violence and teen dating violence. 

 Concussions can occur while participating in any sport or recreational activity. All coaches, parents, and athletes need to be aware of the signs, symptoms, and what to do if a concussion occurs. 

The Leading a Return to Sport Participation eLearning module is designed to help coaches lead a safe and adaptive transition back to sport. 

The Responsible Coaching Movement (RCM) is a call to action for sports organizations, parents, and coaches to enact responsible coaching across Canada – on and off the field of play.

This program applies to leaders of youth in virtually any activity such as Coaches, Trainers, Officials, Camp Counselors, Scout/Girl Guide Leaders, Referees, and Leaders of recreational activities.

In British Columbia, if you work or volunteer with, or have the potential for unsupervised access to children and/or vulnerable adults, you are required to complete a criminal record check.
